Hello from Ozatonka British Labs
My Story

My name is Lewis Remund. I grew up in Southwest Minnesota chasing ducks and pheasants with my family and friends. We always had a dog at home. Our family owned American Labs, Gordon Setters, and Brittany Spaniels but my parents always came back to Labradors.
As I got older and did my own research, I discovered British Labs. I found a well-bred litter and put in my deposit right away. That puppy became Lindy. At the time, we lived in town and did not have the proper space to raise puppies but we knew we loved the breed and wanted to raise British Lab pups someday.
In 2017, we got the opportunity to move to the country and help on my wife’s family farm. As soon as I heard we were moving, I found another great British litter. That puppy became Cadence, "The Crown Jewel of Ozatonka," or Cady for short. Cady has been the cornerstone of our kennel, producing many wonderful pups over the years. Jovi and Mille are two of her pups that have helped us continue her great lines.
The name Ozatonka comes from the family land we farm behind our house. There used to be a lake there named Lake Ozatonka. It was more of a slough and it was a haven for ducks and upland birds. In the spring, if the water levels are high enough and the fields hold sheet water, the ducks and geese still pile in just like the good old days.
